Standalone Factory Reset

If your standalone processor is in a bad state, you can try to put it back in factory state.

Standalone with a front panel

Follow this procedure :

1. Hold the OK button while powering on the processor
2. It should display "You are now in Recovery mode"
3. Release the OK button
4. In the menu, select "Factory Restore" and type OK
   1. You can try first "Restore but keep data" to avoid loosing your settings. But if the problem to solves comes from the settings you have, a full Factory Restore is more likely to work.
5. When done, select "Reboot system" and type OK
6. Your device is back to the factory state

You can also put it back to recovery with a newer firmware.

Before choosing "Factory Restore":

1. Boot in recovery mode as above
2. Plug a USB stick with the firmware in the processor
3. choose "Select upgrade in removable device"
4. Select your firmware upgrade
5. Continue with "Factory Restore" as above

Standalone without a front panel

The unit needs to be opened, and a jumper put to boot in recovery mode.

You can access the recovery menu from HTTP, the processor being in DHCP.

CAUTION : this procedure needs electronic skills. Beware of the risk of electrocution.

1. Power-off the processor
2. Open the top cover
3. Localize the RECOVERY jumper:
   • For BigVoice4, this is JP1 on the rear board (with audio connectors). It is close to the big connector connecting the main board.
4. Power-on the unit with the jumper set. If you do not have a jumper, you can shortcut it another way while powering on.
5. The processor should have booted in recovery mode, using DHCP for network
6. Find the processor IP on the network (you may use SOUND4 In-Box Admin Setup from http://download.sound4.biz)
7. Use a web browser to connect to the processor
8. Follow the procedure like with Standalone with a front panel
9. Power-off the processor when done
10. Remove the jumper
11. Close the processor
